He competes at the highest international levels and recently placed 4th in the final of a world championship. 2008 2014
Karting: the birth of a passion
It all started with karting. As a child, Calogero was already discovering the unique sensations of driving, the sound of the engine, the adrenaline of the first laps. They were just karts, but that’s where the passion was born. Every turn, every brake, every personal victory nurtured a deep love for motorsport. Karting was much more than a childhood game: it was the starting point of a dream, a calling, and a passion that has never faded.
2015
Then everything began,
At the time, sim racing was still in its infancy. There was no cutting-edge technology, no multitude of brands, no high-end equipment. Only a few familiar names like Thrustmaster and Logitech, belt-driven bases, plastic pedal sets… and yet, the magic was already happening.
It all started on console, with simple means but immense passion. We learned, we discovered, we felt every vibration as a victory. Then came the switch to PC. A pivotal moment. From the very first laps, a certainty settled in: there would be no turning back. That world was ours. And it was simply amazing.
2020
Garage Ford Merchtem
In 2020, we settled within the Garage Ford dealership in Merchtem. That is where everything truly took shape. For the first time, we established ourselves as simulator assemblers, with the ambition to offer our very first simulators as complete packages.
This place marked a decisive turning point: the transition from passion to realization, from ideas to first achievements, and from dreams to first customers.
2022
QUBIC SYSTEM
2022 – A new dimension
After a temporary setup at Ford, 2022 marks a major milestone in our evolution. We move into our own building, a place entirely dedicated to our activity and our vision of sim racing.
It is also at this time that we collaborate with our first supplier of actuators, opening the door to dynamic simulators and an even more immersive driving experience. A new era begins, more ambitious, more technical, and resolutely focused on excellence.
2023
Notre premier showroom
2023 – The adventure continues with the creation of our first showroom store, the design of 16 complete simulator packs for Porsche France, the establishment of several sim centers across Europe, as well as the organization of our first eveningMajesty Of SuperCars.
2024
Champion incontesté.
2024 will remain etched in our memories for many memorable moments, but above all for an exceptional victory: that of our driver Calogero Lopez.
Out of 972 candidates, after a rigorous selection leading to 9 finalists, only one name stood out at the top.
Calogero Lopez, talented driver of SIMBELGIUM, triumphed in the prestigious e-sports competition Born2Drive, organized by Porsche Belgium, thus becoming the sole champion of this edition.
A remarkable performance that perfectly embodies the excellence, passion, and commitment we uphold every day at Simbelgium.
